The expanded water treatment facilities include:
Hypochlorite is used as the primary disinfectant and ammonia is available to reduce disinfection byproduct formations.
The design also includes a PLC based distributed control system (SCADA) to allow central operation and monitoring of the plant processes and equipment.
Other improvements included a 6,000 square foot maintenance facility, office renovations, and additional laboratory facilities.
